Default Natives for EU or against?

As above are montenegrins generally in favour of joining the EU or against it?
This is of course presuming Monty will get into the EU,the biggest obstacles appear to be corruption & the judicial/law system.
I know your government is for the EU,but what about the most important peeps,it's citizens?
Do you look upon the EU as a friend or something to be warey of?
If you don't join the EU would you like to see closer ties with an economic powerhouse such as Russia?
    Ta ra..

Personally, I'm for the EU, and also over the half of the population too, I think... Because, for us is better to have a "policeman" in the Brussels, to say: "Hey, corruption is not allowed!", etc... And to have all benefits of open market, e-commerce, open borders... But also we have big part of population who don't like NATO, EU... They only believe in Serbia, Russia, and God... But Montenegro for sure will be a part of EU... Question is when... 2014,15,16, etc...

Don't worry, EU will fall apart by the time we join them
Also, everyone will drive an electric car, when we find petrol under the Adriatic sea

I think you are right. It will happen whether people like it or not.

Why are you against it? The people who are for it seem to have well-defined reasons, but I don't understand why people are against it.

(I am undecided and my opinion doesn't matter anyway.)

It is possible the EU could implode due to debt,or more likely Germany gets fed up supporting weaker economies, germany told the greeks to sell off some islands to pay off the greek debt!

Would Nato & EU not bring greater prosperity & security to Monty?

Why are some against,no banana jokes!

The EU has already funded infrastructure projects[Kotor tunnel] & will pile in more funding for improvements.
Have,nt some montenegrin troops been sent to Afghanistan?

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Accessi...European_Union

The absolute majority of Montenegro's population is in favor of joining the European Union.

In my personal opinion, i think MNE will join the EU somewhere in between year 2016 and 2018. For candidate countries from the past the average waiting time was 7 years.

Joining the EU will get MNE citizens some, but not all of the benefits, like an still-ongoing unapproval of work for some time even after entering the EU. Also full-fledged Schengen Agreement status will not be gained upon entering.

..more important is that montenegro's population must realize that if it wants to gain something in long term (higher standard, normal infrastructure..) must offer something in return (trade goods, ores, materials, services..) which can't be done by hanging out in caffes and bars every day after another.

There is NO way we will get in before at least 2020 and that's a fact.

We all support it, most of us don't know much about it. While we are overwhelmingly in favor of it, we are not truly aware of pros and cons. Personally, I'm sort of a moderate skeptic. I don't have much of a problem with Montenegro being in the EU one day, but I think there was as much room for our growth outside of the EU.

Don't care in the slightest. It's becoming increasingly difficult for me to take EU seriously anyway.

EU has already allowed a bunch of incompetent countries to join (or stay, hello Italy and Greece), and they're negotiating with pretty much every remaining European country. Might as well drop the false pretenses about requirements and standards and just let everybody in.

From the first May, 2011 Poland and other EU Countries that joined in year 2004 are gaining work-access to the (westerneuropean) territories.

Average payment in Poland is about 800€ Brutto at the moment, as Poland was the only european Land which didnt suffer under the economic crisis of 2009. If a workoriented land like Poland earns 800€ Brutto a month, then the lazy Balkan-lands are doomed in the future
