Not a single answer I wonder why
Hi there,
Can anyone recommend a company to clear a plot from its vegetation?
There is 1500m˛ to clear with light vegetation +3 big trees.
 Anyone thinking they can charge several months of Montenegrin medium monthly income (=443 EUR) please refrain from answering!
Thanks for your help!
Not a single answer I wonder why
She is only here to annoy herself!
Jer je crnogorac
we dont like to work if we can pay someone else to do it
lol
You would,nt happen to be connected to a french guy doing work in Monty would you?
I bumped into him on another forum asking for clearance work on his plot of 1500m2!?
Ta...[maybe you are him & using a different name]
where is place?
Where are you coming from? In the US tree service company would charge you at least $6000 for that service. You think that people doesnt deserve more only bc they have smaller income? Thats wrong counting, it doesnt work like that. Every bigger expence in Montenegro is like half or more than monthly income, and its not like that where you coming from. If you want to estimate that job proplerly, you should look at the prices and not the salaries.
Now, what can happen to you is that you will find someone who will do shity job for you for a small money and all that trees and bushes will grow again. I doubt they have wood chopper or root grinder downthere and pretty mych all they have is chainsaw and hand tools, and you cant remove that trees effectively with them. Someone can do that with bobcat eventually, but anyone who owns one will charge you more for sure.
I dont wanna be rude, but Im telling you: dont fu(k with Montenegrins, bc what can happen to you is to stay pregnant

Hi Cornelius...
You obviously do not deal with Montenegrins on a daily basis, as a foreigner... When you do, I have to negociate everything because they just think that because you are a foreigner, they can charge you 3 times the normal price. I'm OK to pay a little more just because I come from a place with a higher purchase power, but I don't want them to fu(k with me...
As per "prices and not salaries", I'm sorry, but to me salaries are a good way to evaluate things, as well as prices. Do you know anything about economics, power purchase ratios and how comparisons are made betwen two countries?
Anyway, when you are given a first quote for the job for about 1500 EUR by a non professional guy, and ten 500 by a professional guy, you just congratulate yourself for not having taken the first price for normal...
Anyway. Live and learn,
Crna.Gora
But a non professional guy had a kid dying of cancer and needed 1500 for surgery which you didn't pay and now that kid's dead. Shame on you, you could have saved him.

That's how they do business here, they'll charge you more if they think you can afford it. Or if you are charged the same, they expect a bit tip because you've got money.
Yesterday I was stopped by the police for not having my headlights on and got a ticket for 30 Euros. While he was writing it out, his partner stopped a speeding motorist and let him off. When I asked why, he said the guy was a 70 year old pensioner who can't afford the fine.
When I commented that I thought the point of fining someone speeding was because speeding can kill I just got the Balkan shrug.
Wellcome to Chmarolend.
Balkan logic again. Totally missing the point.
Charging more to people that have money is not just local thing, it happens everywhere. And of course they expect tip. If you earn x10 times as them wouldn't hurt to help poor guy(s) out.
Keep headlights on and no tickets. And even if they ticketed old guy and he didn't pay, they still wouldn't send him to jail so...

well perhaps if u gave the cop a wink, a suggestive pose or even cried (like the girls do here to get off fines from police) you would have been fine
I agree, foreigners do get charged more, thats y when im over there i dont tell them im from Australia
All i can suggest is shop around
OR
slip the cop a 20e note as the locals do
corruption isnt a good thing no doubt, but as the age old saying goes, "when in Rome...."
