    I guess ADSL.

Emill you know very well that ADSL is "not so bad" only for a few percents of ppl in Montenegro

Back on the topic, there is a very slight chance that it will get any better. Monopoly.

    We have 54 Mbts/sec ADSL.
BUT, it keeps disconnecting very very often.
Sometimes it is just for 1 or 2 minutes every 15 ou 30 minutes, and sometimes it is almost disconnecting every 2 to 5 minutes every 5 to 10 minutes !!!
Very ennoying, especially when you have to upload or download files...

Is anyone here working on IT projects (eg. Website design etc.) and if yes, how do you manage with all these disconnections ?

    Thanks !

I was joking a a little bit, but now serious.

If u constantly have problems with ur connections, u must to call helpdesk.
Explain them the problem, and demand to come and fix that.
I'm not sure what kind of contract u have with T-com, but read it carefully, and maybe u can have same benefic, like discount or samething like this.

The most important thing is that u paying for something , u don't even have...

There is no way you can finish any serious job with that sh*t, try leased line, will cost you much but at least you will finish the job.

Hi to all and thank you for your interest !

I walked in Tivat's T-com shop the other day to ask about these micro-disconnexions, and the girls took a sorry face and said it was "normal"... And everywhere the same.

I would just like to have confirmation that some people here in Montenegro are using the Internet without that problem ?

As for "Changing the ISP", I thought there was a monopoly of T Com here, nope ?

Yeah there is some kind of monopoly. There is MTel provider but they are forbidden to add new users...(official reason is "there is not enough antennas!")

There are some people in Montenegro which use Internet without problem, but that is very rare occasion.

You do not have 54Mbts/s for sure. You have a wirelless router or AP that you connect to, and Wi-fi runs at 54Mbts/s(in theory). That speed has nothing to do with your ADSL (internet) link. You most probably have one of the "regular" T-COM adsl packages. Maby you have and issue with your WI-fi adapter.

There is no 54Mbts/s package in T-Com...must be Wi-Fi...and the signal is probably bad so it disconnects you...

Stop telling this guy lies. I worked for T-com for a year, and I know that people may have issues with it, but usually it works just perfect and pretty fast. If anyone has problems he should call tech support (020 403 434) and tell them to come and fix it because that is not normal and everywhere. I have ADSL for 2 years, have wireless and it works great, almost never disconnects unless there is no power for some time.
...if this ain't lunch, why does it feel so good?

Have you noticed electricion breakdown or lack of water? Maybe that has something to do with S*it-com internet...
It is a luxury for us to have full speed connection. (what we pay)

@Crna.Gora: As for MTEL, nowadays they are allowed to add new users, and there is enough antennas. For you
are in Tivat, you can call 0689868 and apply for installation, if you are in coverage range, they will do it within few
days, as there are no many applications there. If you need further assistance, feel free to contact me.

I have been using internet for 3 years and have to say it's fantastic - better than in Australia or UK! Also support from T-Com is excellent when you compare it to everywhere else.

I'm not a techie so can't explain anything just to say when I signed up with Extra TV I got a wireless modem and then switched to a Flat Pack internet option for only 20E a month. It's really fast and never drops out.

You've obviously never tried getting an internet connection outside Montenegro. Not only is it expensive, it takes weeks and they send you the equipment in the mail and you have to do it yourself. Then when you need technical support, you wait on the phone for ages listening to bad music until you get some guy in India who can't understand anything you're saying.

Don't get me started on mobile phone connections either. In Australia the calls are astronomically expensive and you can't even get a signal outside major cities.

It annoys me when people think everything is wonderful in the western world and useless in Montenegro.

Yeah and they are still on 256 kBit/s

And our technical support is great because you don't have to wait on the phone at all, your call is terminated immediately
